ODESSA - The Ector County Independent School District is seeing a huge improvement.
The Texas Education Agency just released their accountability ratings.
A year ago, 21 schools were on the "improvement required" list.
Now, 10 schools are off that list.
Superintendent Tom Crowe tells NewsWest 9, he's happy but there's still more work that needs to be done.
"The gains that we made are just almost unbelievable. When you look at 21 campuses for improvement required a year ago, and now we're down to 10 and we're going to continue to move forward, I'm so proud of the teachers and the administrative staff on the campuses for the job they've done,” Crowe said.
Some of the schools that are still on the list include Odessa High, Hood Junior High and San Jacinto Elementary.
