Carlsbad Man Pleads Guilty to Selling Synthetic Marijuana, Sentenced to One Year Probation

CARLSBAD, N.M. - A Carlsbad man will spend the next year on probation.

33-year-old Phillip Larez plead guilty to selling synthetic pot, also known as "Spice."

Prosecutors say Larez and two other men sold the spice at "The Looking Glass" in Carlsbad.

Court documents show officers seized more than 4,700 packages of spice under 38 different names from the shop.

One of the other guys already entered a plea deal and was sentenced to two years' probation.

The other man is still waiting for trial.
