MIDLAND - One man remains behind bars in Midland after he assaulted a nurse while he was under the influence of a narcotic.
19-year-old Andrew Stoelzel is facing charges of assault to EMS personnel providing medical assistance.
Officers were called out to the emergency room at Midland Memorial Hospital on Sunday night around 9 p.m.
When they arrived, they had to help several nurses subdue Stoelzel.
According to the affidavit, it took them a while to secure him in several cloth restraints and they also had to give him sedatives to calm him down.
An investigation revealed that Stoelzel had charged a nurse while he was being escorted to a room.
He shoved her against a wall and punched her in the face.
Stoelzel is currently being held on a $25,000 bond.
