ODESSA - It was Wednesday, July 24, when 28-year-old Charles Shepherd was rushed to Medical Center Hospital after he was thrown from his motorcycle.

"They called and told me that my fiance had got in an accident and that he just had a broken leg. I came to the hospital and the injuries were a lot more serious than what they thought," Megan Cox, Charles Shepherd's Fiance, said.

Shepherd is in critical condition and has not been responsive since the accident.

"It's hard, it's really hard. Because I haven't talked to him in over a week. His baby girl misses him. It's just going through it everyday and not being able to talk to him," Cox said.

The couple shares an eight month old little girl with special needs. Cox says their little girl misses daddy.

"She's having a hard time with it, cause she's used to her dad being home every morning and playing and stuff like that," Cox said.
