NEW MEXICO – Two Lovington residents are dead following an afternoon collision in New Mexico.
The accident happened on New Mexico State Road 18, near milepost 66 just after 5:15 p.m. Friday afternoon.
We're told that a 1999 Ford Minivan drove across the paved center median and crashed head on with a 2004 Toyota.
The drivers of both vehicles, 25-year-old Francisco Ramirez-Carrasco and 66-year-old Kathleen Almaguer were both killed in the accident.
Driver inattention is believed to be a contributing factor in the accident.
