ODESSA - Al's Complete Auto Repair off Second Street in Odessa has had their fair share of break-ins. This time thieves broke in and stole a truck by running it right through a fence. Odessa police say car thefts and car break-ins are happening around the city more and more.
"It isn't uncommon to see subjects target one specific neighborhood or one block here and there," Cpl. Steve LeSueur with the Odessa Police Department, said.
Police say these massive break-ins are becoming way too common. It recently happened at the Woodlawn Apartments in Odessa and now Al's Complete Auto has been hit once again.
"About the third or fourth time. After they vandalize, its about three weeks or a month before something happens again," Glenn Cameron, Shop Foreman with Al's Auto, said.
The shop has surveillance cameras with infrared lights. Cameron tells NewsWest 9, the video is pretty good and the police are currently looking over it to get a description. But he said that part of town is very dark with no street lights. Something he wants the city to invest in.
