MIDLAND - A food truck owner in Midland has an idea to revitalize downtown.
Todd Brown is the owner of Brown's Barbecue.
He says the food truck industry is growing and because of that, he's working with the city to try and bring in a pavilion to house different food trucks.
It would be located on Indiana Avenue near downtown.
Each month on the first Friday, Brown will be holding the event for the people to come out and support the pavilion.
"We also want to convey the fact that this is a trending business and people like the idea of hanging out and socializing. This could possibly be that type of spot for helping revitalize downtown,” Brown said.
Brown is also working with the Midessa Mobile Food Business Association to bring in books to teach food handling courses to food truck owners.
