ODESSA – An arrest affidavit is shedding some light into the deadly shooting that took place at Floyd Gwin Park this week.

On Wednesday, detectives contacted 37-year-old Cristina Natividad Renteria in reference to a vehicle being driven by her son 20-year-old Adolfo Renteria, Jr. that was involved in a murder at Floyd Gwin Park.

Renteria gave police a false report stating that the vehicle was taken by her to Barstow and parked at her place of employment. We're told that Renteria was aware of the investigation and she tampered with evidence by moving the vehicle where police were unable to process the vehicle for evidence.

Officials say they asked Renteria where the vehicle was and she refused to give that information.

Renteria has been charged with false report to a peace officer and tampering with physical evidence.
