Fire Officials Investigating "Suspicious" Fire in Big Spring

BIG SPRING – Big Spring fire officials are investigating after a fire in Big Spring early Wednesday morning.

The fire sparked up in the 1400 block of Princeton around 2:30 a.m.

Officials tell NewsWest 9 that when they arrived on the scene the house was fully involved.

We're told that the home has not been occupied for several years but numerous reports of transient activity have been reported over the years as the home fell into a state of disrepair.

Officials say the fire sparked up in the rear of the home and spread quickly throughout the home.

The property is considered a total loss and officials are calling the fire "suspicious."
