Softball Tournament Being Held For Girl Seriously Injured in Head-On Accident in Midland

ODESSA – A softball tournament is being held in August in Odessa to raise money for a little girl injured in a head-on accident in Midland.

As you may recall, eight year old Jaycie Pacheco was riding in a vehicle that was hit by another car on Loop 250 in July.

Jaycie was taken to Midland Memorial before she was airlifted to Lubbock because of her injuries.

We’re told there are still numerous bills and upcoming bills that will need to be paid due to the accident and that’s where the Odessa Girls Softball Board of Directors has stepped in.

The organization will be a holding a softball tournament at the UTPB softball complex. We’re told the tournament will be held the weekend of August 15. The tournament will be an all-night tournament starting on Friday evening around 7 p.m. and continue until 8 a.m. Saturday morning. Then the games will resume on Saturday evening at 7 p.m. and will continue overnight until Sunday morning.
