MIDLAND - A man was arrested in Midland earlier this week for breaking into a woman's home and you won't believe what he told police when they caught up with him.
Officers were called out to a home in the 1200 block of Camp early Wednesday morning.
The victim told police 35-year-old Juan Pena had been drinking and left after they got into an argument.
She later woke up to Pena pulling her by the hair and yelling at her then leaving again.
Officers also found a dirty footprint on the kitchen counter.
Police found Pena at his home on South Fort Worth along with the shoes that matched the footprint.
He claimed that the victim had stolen his shoes to stage the crime.
Pena is facing burglary charges for the incident.
