ODESSA - The City of Odessa will soon be increasing revenue while helping local industry.
The city council approved an agreement with Pioneer Natural Resources for the sale of treated wastewater.
The water will come from the city's Bob Derrington Water Reclamation Plant.
With the agreement, Pioneer will purchase about five million gallons of treated wastewater to be used in oil and gas recovery operations.
The ten year agreement will assist city officials in the development of future fresh water sources for Odessa.
