Two Killed, One Injured in Late Night Accident in Hobbs

HOBBS, N.M. - An accident in Hobbs on Friday night killed two people including a six year old boy and sent another to the hospital.

Hobbs Police say officers responded to a multi-vehicle crash around 10:20 p.m. on Lovington Highway around Jack Gomez Boulevard.

Witnesses say a white Dodge pickup truck with Arizona plates was traveling northbound swerving.

The Dodge pickup then hit a red Chrysler head on.

The driver of the Chrysler, Priscilla Mungia, was transported to the hospital where she later died.

The passenger, a six year old girl, also died on the scene.

A third vehicle driven by 65 year old Antonio Ramirez struck the Dodge pickup after the first head on collision.

But thankfully no injuries were reported in that vehicle.

Shane Betselie, the passenger in the dodge, was transported to Lubbock with life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Dodge, Keevisen James Gould, has pending charges of a DWI.
