Officials Release New Details Regarding Deadly Shooting in Alpine

ALPINE - Officials have released new information regarding a deadly shooting that happened in Alpine on Tuesday night.

We're told the shooting happened in the 600 block of Holland Avenue just after 7:45 p.m.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found three men with gunshot wounds.

One man, 29-year-old Reymundo Vega, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other men, 27-year-old John Cisneros and 37-year-old Wayne Witcher were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

The suspect, 28-year-old Alvino Gonzalez has been charged with murder and is behind bars at the Brewster County Jail. We're told a search warrant was executed on Gonzalez's house and the firearm believed to be used in the shootings was recovered.

Bond for Gonzalez has been set at $225,000.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing and is being conducted by Alpine Police Department.
