ODESSA - With giant money signs on his shorts, this thief wasn't looking for cash, just cigarettes and beer.
The Dallas Cowboys fan broke into the back window of the Stripes on Grant Avenue back in June, and now Odessa Crime Stoppers are looking for him.
He ransacked the entire shelf, making a mess and leaving most of the packs on the ground, but he still managed to get away with nearly $3,000 worth of cigarettes, and a nicotine habit that will be tough to break.
"There's over $2,000 worth of damage that was done and nearly $3,000 worth of cigarettes that he took, so we're really interested in putting our hands on this guy and getting him locked up," said Susan Rogers with Odessa Crime Stoppers.
But three grand worth of cigarettes is not enough for this party of one, he then breaks another lock and takes two cases of beer. However, he runs into a problem.
"Guess he thinks he's somebody and he's going to kick that door out, and you know, can't do it. So he winds up having to leave his beer on the ground," said Rogers.
Apparently, no amount of muscle in that muscle tee can break down the door, or simply unlock it.
So he heads back to the window where he came in, with one less case of beer, and a trash can full of cigarettes.
He is then seen in the surveillance video leaving the parking lot in a white four-door sedan.
"When you combined him, those pants, that baseball cap, those tattoos, and that car, somebody's got to know who this is," said Rogers.
This tattooed thief is now facing a felony for breaking into a building, and feeding his addiction.
