ODESSA - NewsWest 9 is learning new details behind the arrest of an Odessa Police Department recruit.

He's accused of exchanging nude photos with a 15-year-old girl but we've also learned that relationship turned physical.

Racy photos, steamy text messages and a distinctive scar led Odessa Police back to one of their own.

U.S. Marshals arrested 23-year-old Mitchell Dailey after allegations came to light about an improper relationship with a minor.

According to a criminal complaint, Dailey met a 15-year-old girl while working with the Odessa Police Athletic League.

The teen was a volunteer at the league, which is a youth mentor program that promotes leadership, teamwork and trust in sports and other activities.

The relationship began when Dailey and the girl started talking to each other using different apps like Kik and Snapchat.

The documents state soon after, the recruit asked the girl if she wouldn't mind being his girlfriend and she agreed.

That's when the relationship quickly escalated. At one point, Dailey told the teen he would marry her after her 18th birthday.

During questioning, the teen told investigators Dailey asked for nude pictures so she sent them and so did he. She also said the two would meet up at league events in places like the gym or in a van when no one else was around.

That's when things got physical.

According to the complaint, Dailey admitted to touching the girl's breasts and vagina over her clothes several times but claimed they never had sex. The complaint also said Dailey admitted to asking for nude pictures but said he never received any.

However, investigators searched his iPhone and iPad where they found sexual photos of the girl and photos of a man holding his genitals. The documents state Dailey has the same scar on his hand like the one seen on the hand in the pictures.

Investigators also found explicit text messages on the phone where he addressed the teen as "wifey."

During his questioning, Dailey said he knew the girl was 15.

Dailey is facing charges of sending obscene material to a minor.
