Amarillo, TX - The Petro Truck Stop was robbed Tuesday evening when a man displayed a pistol to a store clerk demanding cash.

The robbery took place at the fuel island around 5:55 p.m.

Officers responded to the scene and spoke with a 27 year-old employee who said a white male around 30 years of age had just robbed the store.

According to the employee the suspect entered the store and walked up to the counter and demanded money.

The suspect is said to have lifted his shirt, displaying his pistol while demanding money from the register.

At one point the suspect then removed the pistol from his waistband and pointed it at the clerk, again demanding money.

The employee handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash before the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Officials further describe the suspect to have been wearing a white hoodie with a black Adidas logo, a dark baseball cap with a Texas Longhorn logo, and blue jeans.

Officers said no one was hurt during this crime.
