MIDLAND - The Petroleum Museum is getting ready to start their renovations.
The work will cost about $18 million to complete and focus on the north and east wings of the facility.
Officials are now looking for people to buy some of the materials that have been there for the past four decades, such as photographs and other artifacts.
All of the money raised from those sales will go towards their capital campaign fund, which is still $1.5 million short of their goal.
If you would like to buy a piece of history, there will be an event this Thursday night to kick off the renovations.
