MIDLAND - Midland College has made a deal with Chevron to save them money on their energy bills.
Officials gave the green light to the second phase of their plan at their meeting earlier this week.
The work will include a more than $2.5 million dollar investment into the installation of led lighting and window films.
That will help the campus save $787,000 in just one year.
It will also earn midland college a $75,000 rebate from ONCOR.
Officials say their emissions will be reduced so much that it will be equal to taking 240 cars off the road.
