ODESSA - Home Hospice in Odessa is moving locations.

It's all because the City of Odessa is buying their property on Texas Street.

A convention building is in the works to be put there along with a possible hotel

The CEO and Co-Owner of Home Hospice tells NewsWest 9, a realtor approached them about selling the property to one of their clients.

At first, they said no.

However, when home hospice found out that the client was the City of Odessa, they agreed to the deal.

"I want people in Ector County to know that Home Hospice is here. Just because we're selling our building doesn't mean that we're closing or that we're in trouble or any of those things. If the city didn't want our property, we would still be here in this location," Skip Hedgpeth, CEO and Co-Owner of Home Hospice, said.

There's no word on where Home Hospice will be re-located to but they have six months to move out once the sale is done.
