Amarillo, TX - Amarillo police say the victim in a hit and run accident on April 13 has passed away.
Police were dispatched at about 1:36 a.m. to a wreck at NE 20th and N Currie LN where they discovered Lucille Valverde, 65.
According to APD, the other party had fled the scene.
Valverde had been driving a 2006 Chrysler 300 eastbound on NE 20th.
A late 90's to early 2000's model Dodge Dually truck was driving southbound on Currie LN, when police said the driver of the vehicle ran a stop sign, striking the Chrysler.
The Dodge then fled the scene.
Valverde was taken to the hospital for her non-life threatening injuries.
On May 9, 2014, APD said Valverde passed away as a result of her injuries from the wreck.
