MARTIN COUNTY – One person was airlifted to the hospital and two others were injured after a morning accident outside of Stanton.
The accident happened around 8:30 a.m. on Interstate 20, near mile marker 158.
DPS Troopers tell NewsWest 9, a truck tractor semi-trailer was behind a pickup and a pulling unit.
We’re told the semi-trailer failed to control speed and rear ended the pickup truck.
One person in the pickup truck was airlifted to Midland Memorial Hospital while a second person in the pickup truck was taken by ambulance.
There’s no word on the extent of their injuries at this time.
We’re told the semi-trailer driver was not injured but received a citation for failing to control speed.
