Odessa DPS Troopers Investigating Deadly Car-Pedestrian Accident

ODESSA – Odessa DPS Troopers are investigating after a deadly early morning car-pedestrian accident in Odessa.

According to DPS Troopers, the accident happened on FM 554, two miles north of South Loop 338, just before 4 a.m. Monday morning.

When officials arrived on the scene, they discovered that the vehicle was gone and the pedestrian that was hit had no ID.

We’re told the pedestrian is described as a white male, 6’ tall, 160 pounds with short light brown hair, in his late 20’s to mid-30’s, wearing blue jeans, a gray T-shirt and black sandals.

Officials say a witness told them the pedestrian was struck by a black or dark colored Honda Civic with an after-market muffler. The vehicle also had a defective left tail lamp.

The witness also said that the vehicle was occupied by a white male driver and a white female passenger.
