FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - After being sentenced to 30 years behind bars for her role in the stabbing death of a Fort Worth woman last year, a 17-year-old said she didn't want to participate but was scared of the 22-year-old man accused in the crime.

Originally charged with capital murder, the teen reached an agreement with prosecutors in which she pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of murder in the stabbing death of 59-year-old Adrian Thornton.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports a judge Tuesday gave her the agreed-upon term of 30 years behind bars. The teen, 16 at the time of the slaying, will initially serve time at a juvenile facility.

David Rhone awaits trial on a capital murder charge in the death of Thornton, for whom he ran errands.
