Odessa- An Ector County judge is being targeted through a YouTube video. It's all because of a recent decision he made in a child custody case.

"I am Anonymous, you might not have heard of us, but we are a  very powerful cyber hacking activist group that is responsible for the destruction of many government operations," Anonymous said.

This group is threatening Ector County Judge Denn Whalen. Judge Whalen's recent ruling on a child custody case got the group upset. Their anger was shown on YouTube.

"No child should have to go through abuse and then be forced to stay with the abuser," Anonymous said.

The video then goes after Judge Whalen directly.

"For the Judge. We know who you are. We will begin cyber attacks to you and your family. You cannot run from this," Anonymous said.

So how concern should Judge Whalen and everyone else on that video really be? To give you an idea, this same group anonymous had a problem with a recent case in New Mexico. They went on YouTube andYouTubeveryone to come out and protest police brutality. The people of Albuquerque did.

The video in New Mexico was taken of a homeless man that was shot to death by police. After this video surfaced the group anonymous went on YouTube to explain what would happen to the Albuquerque police department.
The group called for a protest which took to the streets on Saturday in Albuquerque. The protest turned violent and riot police were called in. The group also cyber attacked the police website for hours only showing the Anonymous logo.

This group has gone to extremes before and the Texas Rangers are investigating the matter thoroughly.
In a statement by the Texas Rangers reads:

"The video in question contains alleged threats of cyber hacking against Judge Whalen and against an individual involved in a case overseen by the judge. This is an ongoing investigation, so no additional information is available at this time."

U.S. Marshals informed NewsWest 9 that there could be possible federal charges as well.
"We are Anonymous. We are Legend. We do not forget. We do not forgive. Expect us," Anonymous said.

NewsWest 9 Will bring you the outcome of the investigation as it becomes available.
