WFAA-TV reports Makenzie Wethington returned to Joshua High School on Monday more than two months after being injured.
She was seriously hurt in the Jan. 25 accident at a Chickasha skydiving school. The teen's injuries included liver and kidney damage, bleeding in her brain and broken bones. The girl's family says her parachute malfunctioned when she made the jump as part of a birthday present.
Some of Wethington's classmates in Joshua, about 15 miles south of Fort Worth, wore pink shirts with the words "Makenzie Strong" on them to honor the girl, who's attending school half days to start.
