ODESSA - A stop to fill up on Monday morning turned scary for one Odessa man.

He was carjacked while at the pump.

It happened a little before 8 a.m. at the Stripes on Faudree.

Odessa Police say the driver left his Ford pickup running with his keys in the ignition while he went to pay for fuel.

When he came back outside, he saw a guy get in his truck.

The victim then jumped on his truck's bed to try to get inside his pickup while the thief drove off.

The suspect swerved back and forth throwing the victim off the pickup.

The truck was found later in the day on Monday in the alley of Giotto Street but the crook hasn't been found.

Odessa police say he's a white man, about 5'9", around 25 years old.
