ODESSA - A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Wednesday at Odessa High School.
It's all part of the $129 million dollar bond that was passed last November.
Officials say they're expanding the high school to include ninth graders.
They're also building a new welcoming center, adding 38 classrooms and a new science wing.
"Sometimes when you get new facilities, state of the art facilities, it should motivate the students, as well as the communities, to do their best and to attain those kinds of goals we want students shooting for," OHS Principal, Gregory Nelson, said.
There's no word on when construction will be completed.
