BREWSTER COUNTY - The burn ban in Brewster County has been extended another 90 days.

County Commissioners voted on the move at Tuesday's meeting.

Businesses are the only ones that can burn outdoors as long as the fire is in a pit or fire ring.

We're told welding is also allowed but a spotter is required for each welder, the diameter around the welding area should be cleared of vegetation and welders must have enough fire suppressants on hand.

Also, if there's a red flag warning issued, welding is banned.

People who don't follow this order may be arrested and fined up to $500.
