PECOS COUNTY - Pecos County employees have a much easier way of getting their Commercial Driver’s License now.
The CDL program, offered through Midland College Williams Regional Technical Training Center, was approved by commissioners for county employees.
The center is located in Fort Stockton.
Officials say employees are required to sign a contract saying they will continue to work for the county for two years after completing CDL school.
If the employee is fired or quits before the contract ends, they'll have to pay the county a $4,100 tuition fee.
