Economic Impact Study to be Conducted in Big Lake

BIG LAKE - An economic impact study will be conducted for the City of Big Lake.

The City Council gave the go ahead for the economic development corporation to enter a contract with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service.

Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service will look at the recent growth of the region.

The study will provide a baseline for analyzing future planning and programs and will let the city know how to better distribute their resources.

We're told the study will take four months to complete and it will start shortly after April first.
