Police search for chase suspect

Amarillo, TX - A wreck turned into a police search early Wednesday morning.

Around 2:30 a.m. police received a call about a reckless driver.

Officers were able to locate and pursue the driver.

Eventually the vehicle drove down an alley in the 5000 block of south Alabama street and crashed into a fence.

The driver then fled the scene on foot.

Police and K9 units searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The incident is still being investigated at this time.
