HOBBS, N.M. - Three people in Hobbs are behind bars after being caught riding in a car with drugs.

Police pulled over a truck, driven by David Neufield, for a routine traffic stop on Saturday night.

The officer noticed open beer cans in the truck and asked to search the vehicle.

That's where he found a bag of marijuana between the two passengers, Naomi Figueroa and Adolfo Freisen-Fehr.

Both claimed it was the other person's.

Officials also found a pipe under the front driver's seat.

Neufield is now facing a drug paraphernalia charge while his two passengers are facing drug possession charges.
