Firefighters Extinguish Three Alarm Fire in Big Spring

BIG SPRING – Big Spring firefighters got control of a three alarm fire that sparked up early Wednesday morning.

Fire officials responded to the 1000 block of North Bell, around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.

When officials arrived on the scene, officials found a two car garage on fire.

We're told that due to the high winds that were in the area, the fire quickly spread to two neighboring structures.

Officials were able to contain the fire to the three structures.

Nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution and those residents were allowed to return to their homes.

Our radio partner, KBYG in Big Spring, reported that a total of seven vehicles were either damaged or destroyed in the fire.

We're told that 18 fire vehicles and 38 personnel were called out to the fire to keep it from spreading.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
