Stormtracker 9 Meteorologist

Max has been with the Storm Tracker 9 team since February of 2014. He arrived in West Texas after graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in Meteorology, minoring in Geography and Communications. He interned for two years under Chief Meteorologists Shel Winkley and Bob French at KBTX-TV in Bryan.

Max grew up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, where he quickly grew a fear for severe weather after a traumatic experience being caught in a Texas storm. He eventually turned that fear into a passion and he has not looked back ever since, continuously being fascinated by the weather. He is looking forward to growing in forecasting knowledge and expertise as a part of the greatest forecasting team in West Texas.

While in college, Max was involved in many organizations that improved his communication skills. He was a four year member of the Texas A&M Weather Broadcasting group and was also involved in Fish Camp for four years, where he served as a chairperson in his 4th year. He was also a volunteer leader for Young Life for two years.

When not studying the weather, Max loves running and the great outdoors. He looks forward to exploring areas such as Big Bend and Guadeloupe National Park. He enjoys having conversations with anyone and everyone and is a big movie and TV enthusiast.

You can tune in to Max's broadcasts on NewsWest 9 Weekend on Saturday's at 6 and 10 p.m. He is also on Wednesday-Friday on NewsWest 9 First News at 4 p.m.
