Big Spring Narcotics Investigation Leads to Two Arrests

BIG SPRING - A Big Spring man and woman are behind bars following a narcotics search at a home.

Around six Tuesday morning, Big Spring Police and the Howard County Sheriff's office SWAT team served a search warrant for 104 N. W. 8th.

The warrant was a result of a 2 month investigation by the Big Spring Police Departments Narcotics Division.  Inside the home Narcotics Officers found over an ounce of cocaine and approximately $1000.00 in currency believed to be proceeds from the sales of the cocaine.

Authorities arrested 63-year-old Phillip Mendoza and 63-year-old Yolanda Mendoza. Both were charged with the Manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance for having over an ounce of cocaine but less than 200 grams in a Drug Free Zone.
