We're learning more about the death of a Seminole woman who was found dead about three months ago.

Ana Villegas was reported missing on November 21.

Her body was found bound and naked close to the Pecos River in Eddy County eight days later.

Carlos Najera and her estranged husband, Juan Villegas of Hobbs, were both arrested and charged with murder in December then extradited to Gaines County.

Najera was formally charged with murder, capital murder and aggravated kidnapping last month.

According to court documents, the men stuffed gloves into her mouth and put duct tape over her head, mouth and nose causing her to die from asphyxiation.

Villegas also promised to pay Najera for his involvement in the woman's death.
