ODESSA - An Odessa man was acquitted on four charges Thursday, three of them were by reason of insanity.
44-year-old Delbert McNeil was accused of stealing an Odessa College police officer's car, attempting to run over two officers and leading police on a chase.
He had been charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer, aggravated robbery and evading arrest.
He's now been ordered to the North Texas State Hospital in Vernon for evaluation and commitment following the verdicts.
