Hobbs Man Behind Bars For Helping Wanted Man

HOBBS, N.M. - A Hobbs man is behind bars after he helped a wanted man.

Deputies were looking for a man by the name of Richard Gee.

When they spotted him, Gee led them on a high speed chase.

He abandoned the pickup that he was in.

Police found it later along with two plastic bags of meth inside.

They also discovered the truck belonged to 39-year-old Scott Casilla.

Casilla told officers gee stole the pickup from him.

He also admitted to knowing that gee had several felony warrants and that he was letting Gee stay with him.
