HOWARD COUNTY - The roads in Howard County could be getting a fix soon.
Commissioners moved one step closer to completing an application for a Texas Department of Transportation grant.
About $3.5 million dollars would be used for county road improvements.
At Monday’s meeting, Commissioners approved what are called “cert zones” in the northwest and southern part of the county.
Those zones will go before a board for approval.
The board is expected to meet Thursday.
If approved, commissioners will meet next Monday and plan to send the final application off to TXDOT.
