The Hobbs man charged in the murder of a Seminole woman has been extradited to Gaines County to face murder charges.

Juan Villegas was being held in Lea County after a Governor's warrant from Texas was not made available during his extradition hearing in Hobbs last month.

Officials said the warrant hadn't been filed because they still needed several signatures from Gaines County.

Villegas was arrested back in December for the death of 24-year-old Anna Villegas.

Her body was found bound and naked near to the Pecos River in Eddy County one month before the arrest was made.

Authorities say she was suffocated.

The other man charged in her death, Carlos Najera, is already being held in Gaines County.
