Officials Release New Information About Monday Bomb Threat in Downtown Midland

MIDLAND – The Federal Bureau of Investigation has released some new details about the bomb threat that was called in to Midland Police on Monday afternoon.

FBI officials tell NewsWest 9, 20-year-old Jesse Lucas was arrested on Monday without incident around 2 p.m.

As you may recall, Midland police received a call about a bomb threat on Monday around 12:30 p.m.

Officials and hotel management decided to evacuate the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel on Wall Street so they could search the building.

In the end, no bomb was found and the "all clear" was given.

Lucas has been charged with one count of making a bomb threat to a hotel affecting interstate commerce.

Lucas faces up to ten years in federal prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.
