DALLAS (AP) - Dallas police say one person has been killed and six others were injured after rival gangs shot at each other outside a nightclub.
Dallas police said in a statement Sunday that the shooting occurred after a fight broke out in a nightclub.
Police say club promoters held a function for teenagers when rival gangs created a disturbance. Security guards used mace to break up a fight, and it moved outside.
Police say they responded to the shooting shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday. They identified the person who was killed as 21-year-old Terrance Carroll. The six who were injured sought medical treatment for injuries that were not life-threatening.
