250,000 dollars worth of cocaine discovered during I-40 traffic stop

Texas - Over eight pounds of drugs are uncovered during a traffic stop in Carson County.

The Department of Public Safety says a little before 8:30 Tuesday morning over 250,000 dollars of cocaine were discovered during a traffic stop on I-40.

The trooper pulled over the SUV for a traffic violation and during a search of the vehicle found the concealed drugs in a compartment inside the vehicle.

The driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and booked into the Carson County jail.
