MIDLAND - Two people remain behind bars after they were caught in Midland with more than two pounds of marijuana in their car.
48-year-old John Kingston of Paint Rock and 23-year-old Maureen Patterson are facing felony charges of weed possession in a drug free zone.
They were pulled over in the 4300 block of Illinois around 10:30 p.m. on Friday night.
The officer could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle while he was talking to them.
A police service dog sniffed out the drugs which were hidden in a T.J. Maxx bag.
Patterson also handed over more weed that she had hidden in her bra.
The charges were enhanced because the car was within 1,000 feet of Kaplan College.
