HOBBS, N.M. - A Hobbs man got into hot water after he was caught with drugs while children were in his apartment.
21-year-old Quayshaun Williams is facing felony charges of abuse or abandonment of a child.
Officers were called out to the Hobbs Apartments on Wednesday after getting a call about a juvenile that had smoked spice.
When they arrived, there was a thick cloud of smoke that smelled like marijuana.
A woman at the apartment told police that there were two children inside at the time.
Officers also found a pipe and a bag of marijuana.
While the woman was being questioned, Williams came in and confessed that he had been smoking the drugs and took off to another apartment before they arrived.
Williams is currently being held on a $10,000 bond.
