ROSWELL, N.M. - The 12-year-old boy, who was injured during a school shooting in Roswell on Tuesday has been identified.
Governor Susana Martinez says Nathaniel Tavarez remains in critical condition at a Lubbock hospital.
She also said he's heavily sedated and on a respirator after doctors repaired slight damages to his heart.
The Governor said earlier this week she wouldn't identify the boy until his parents said it was ok to do so.
Tavarez was one of the people injured after a 12-year-old boy opened fire in a gym on Tuesday.
13-year-old Kendal Sanders was also hurt and a school staffer walked away with minor injuries.
