Four People Arrested in Big Spring Police Narcotics Investigaton

BIG SPRING - Four people were arrested in Big Spring following a six month investigation by the Big Spring Police Departments Narcotics Unit and Homeland Security.

On Wednesday morning around 6:00, the Big Spring Police Department/Howard County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team executed as search warrant for a home located at 1514 Tucson.   

While inside the house, Narcotics officers found over 3 ounces of Methamphetamine, a quantity of Heroin, Marijuana, Morphine, other miscellaneous prescription medications, almost $4,000 in Currency. Officers also found an abundance of confirmed and suspected stolen property valued at over $10,000.     

A total of four people were arrested. They include 34-year-old Peter Christopher Strickland, 39-year-old Carmen Renee Strickland, 36-year-old Amanda Gomez, and 34-year-old Jeffery Glen Turner.  

Peter Strickland and Carmen Strickland were both charged with Manufacture/Delivery Controlled Substance over 4 grams but less than 200 grams in a Drug Free Zone. Amanda Gomez and Jeffery Turner were charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.   

This investigation is ongoing and is now a coordinated effort with the Big Spring Police Departments Narcotics Division and Criminal Investigations Division and the Howard County Sheriffs Office Criminal Investigations Division.
