LEA COUNTY, N.M. - One of the Hobbs men charged in the murder of a Seminole woman will be staying in Lea County for the next couple of months.

Juan Villegas was supposed to be extradited to Gaines County to face capital murder charges.

However, a governor's warrant from the lone star state was not available during his extradition hearing in Hobbs on Thursday.

Officials say the warrant wasn't filed because they still need several signatures from Gaines County.

You'll remember, Villegas was arrested last month for the death of 24-year-old Anna Villegas.

Her body was found bound and naked near to the Pecos River in Eddy County back in November.

Authorities say she was suffocated.

The other man charged for her death, Carlos Najera, is already being held in Gaines County.
