MIDLAND - We're learning more about the man who shot and injured two other men on New Year’s Day.

According to an affidavit, one of the victims told police that Nathaniel Lewis had been robbed recently and may have thought one of them was involved.

You'll remember on New Year’s Day around 1 a.m. officers rushed out to a home in the 1200 block of East Maple.

That's where they found two men with gunshot wounds.

An investigation revealed that Lewis pulled up in a SUV, got out and fired 14 rounds from a rifle at the victims.

The men were taken to Midland Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Lewis was arrested during a routine traffic stop on Thursday and is currently being held on a $400,000 bond.
